I hope for a career in communications that will use my talents in writing, desktop publishing and promotion and allow me to develop my story-telling, feature writing and multimedia skills.
Three years in Blackburn College's public relations office during the school year and a summer, full-time paid position in that office, have given me professional experience producing materials crucial to the function and success of The College. I have created promotional materials, written press releases, feature stories, bios and opinion columns for a variety of College publications.
I also developed my promotional skills during a summer internship at the News-Gazette in Champaign, Illinois. I contributed to The Pulse and Vow magazines, helped plan and execute an online contest and contributed content for Explore, Discover, Experience, a guide to the Champaign-Urbana area.

About Me
I love music and my interests range from Bach to Nat King Cole, Garth Brooks to Common and beyond.
An afternoon trip to the movies on a rainy day is one of my favorite things to do.
I would read Willa Cather's My Antonia over and over.
I have a ridiculous collection of shoes, but would rather wear flip flops.
I have been lucky enough to be able to travel the world and have spent time in Denmark, Sweden, Greece and New Zealand and hope to travel more.
